But, in some twist of irony, you're not too fond of the pressures of civilization... you know, human beings and crowds and working together. We found you a place where you could enjoy an erudite existence, live a life that's intriguing and not entirely secure -- but far from the madding crowd.

Removed from civilization and humanity, yet educated and sophisticated, you'll make the perfect reclusive artist... An eccentric that produces irresistibly attractive masterpieces. Your art will make people swoon, and yet you will despise your audience. Your audience will probably dislike you as well, though they will go on admiring your work. So it all balances out, and your patrons will leave you alone to shape beauty in the wild, dangerous parts of the world where people won't pester you so much. Probably, you will write under a pseudonym, and mutter a lot when a rare admirer comes calling. If you feel really adventurous, you can pursue the role of a political dissident.

As you age, you will grow into the role of an incorrigible curmudgeon.

You artists, you're all the same.

Take Reincarnation Placement Exam at HelloQuizzy

    <lj:music>Vas - In the Garden of Souls</lj:music>

Well today was 50 degrees with winds gusting up to 70 mph. Most of the guys got a 1/2 day - not me. It was raining this morning - which was good because it washed away what little ice there was but it was just sloppy and slushy everywhere.

I've been packing it on lately - comfort food mostly because I'm missing herself and home, not to mention we are in the midst of the holiday feasting season. However, I have struck a blow and got off of my duff and took advantage of the amenities. Jumped on the ol' treadmill and went for a walk - did pretty good and was feeling my oats so I decided to try the elliptical stair stepper / cross country ski type machine - Boy! did that kick my butt. I thought better of it and decided that the Sauna was just my speed right then and spent the next 15 minutes getting a good sweat on then did some laps in the pool and back for my second go around in the sweat box (literally- just enough room for 2 butts and a box of rocks). All of this was followed by a brisk shower. My nuggets are just starting to drop.

So now I'm basking in the endorphic afterglow of my evenings activities listening to some somber tunes and LJ'ing

WOW!!! today has been fun. The weather has been really nuts today. First order of business was to help pull a truck out a ditch. we had 2 pick-ups chained to this guy and we couldn't pull him out. The wind was really brutal 20 degree temperatures with wind-speeds averaging around 25 meters p/s (that's about 55 MPH). Luckily I spent most of my day at the sub-station in the control building getting fiber to the server and setting up the switches. I was in there for about 4 hours and when I came out, boy was in for a surprise.

Practically white out conditions with snow coming at you sideways. I've heard of the old saying "pure as the driven snow" that's because at those wind-speeds you feel as if you're being scoured by it. The freeway was shut-down due to lack of visibility - luckily one of the guys called me when he was stuck on the freeway and I took the opportunity to drive back to La Grande by the back roads, thereby foiling that catastrophe.

Anyways more updates to follow
